Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for ResoundingBooks.org. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this website. It covers the following topics:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We have access to/collect only information that you voluntarily provide. We will never sell or rent the information you share with us to anyone. However, because Resounding Books was legally established as a political action committee (PAC), we do have a legal obligation to share certain information with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). Our status as a PAC means that, according to federal law, all purchases from Resounding Books are considered political donations. We are thus required to share with the FEC information about any customers/donors that spend/contribute $200 or more in any given calendar year. In addition to name and living address, the FEC requires information about personal occupation. Under current FEC regulations, we are not legally obligated to report personal information for individuals purchasing/contributing less than $200 in any given calendar year. In order to safeguard your privacy to the greatest possible degree, we will not report any personal information to the FEC until such time as the $200 threshold is attained.

Within the context of Resounding Books’ operations, we will use your information only as necessary to fulfill your request (e.g. to respond to an inquiry or to fulfill an order).

We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, aside from our order-fulfillment partner should you order print publications.

Unless you specify otherwise, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products, or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To purchase from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

Your Access to and Control over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. At any time, you may contact us via the email address or phone number provided on our website in order to:

  1. See what, if any, data we have about you;
  2. Change/correct any data we have about you;
  3. Have us delete any data we have about you that we are not required by federal law to maintain; and/or
  4. Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.

If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via telephone at 608 467 0877 or via email.
