Last month we spoke with data scientist and education activist Jeffrey D. Horn about the 21st-Century Classroom--both what it is and what it's actually meant to accomplish. In both cases it turned out to be a little different than most people probably thought.
This month, Jeff is back to talk with us a bit more about the topic.
Today he spoke with Resounding Books about what the roles of students, teachers, and parents are in relationship to the 21st-Century Classroom. In addition, he shared with us his personal framing of the term "indoctrination" and how components of the 21st-Century Classroom, such as high-stakes assessment and the Common Core standards facilitate the kind of indoctrination he describes--quite literally, robbing children of their dreams.
This is a video we believe you'll want to share with others.
