At the Network for Public Education conference this past weekend in Chicago, author and public education activist Anthony Cody was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking with Resounding Books about why he felt the need last fall to offer a critique of the Marc Tucker vision for education.
"Who the heck is Marc Tucker?" you may be asking right about now.
He's actually been around for a long time, and he's had a tremendous influence on education reform initiatives, particuarly since the early 1990s. But most people still have no idea who he is.
We're currently editing a full version of the interview, but for now, enjoy this first video clip in which Cody shares a bit about who Marc Tucker is and why his vision isn't what it initially seems.
